Audi Teases new Smaller Audi E-Tron Model

The Audi E-Tron is an electric-power SUV with a hefty price tag. To provide folks with a more affordable option, Audi is teasing a smaller and more compact version of the Audi E-Tron. Currently, the lineup includes the E-Tron and the E-Tron GT, along with the newly confirmed PB18 E-Tron.

What Sets the New Audi E-Tron Apart?

The biggest difference between the newly anticipated E-Tron and the current model is the price. This will likely be mitigated with more common interiors and shorter driving ranges. The smaller E-Tron crossover will likely use a modular EV platform that is designed by Volkswagen.

While the exact date of the new crossover's release is yet to be determined, rumors speculate that it will arrive by the end of 2019. Folks looking for a sneak peek at this rumored vehicle can attend the Geneva Motor Show in March. The compact electric vehicle may be revealed then and buyers will get their first look at this new entry-level E-Tron.

What About the Audi PB18 E-Tron?

The Audi PB18 E-Tron is an all-electric supercar. Its production will be limited to only 50 cars and was first revealed at Monterey Car Week. Thanks to a 95-kilowatt-hour battery, this Audi can produce 671-horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque. Rumor has it that this electric supercar can travel from zero to 60 miles per hour in only 2 seconds!

A common complain regarding electric vehicles are their recharge times. Although, with inductive charging, the PB18 E-Tron is said to charge from empty to full in only 15 minutes! With this full charge, this Audi electric supercar will be able to travel up to 310 miles!
