Will There Be An Audi A4-Sized Electric Sedan In The Near Future?

The Audi brand is moving with lightening speeds towards the electric vehicle market with plans to have at least 12 pure electric models by the middle of the next decade. Just this year we have seen the Audi E-Tron released and many other purely electric models are in the works to be set either next year or the year after. These include the sportier brother of the Audi E-Tron, the Audi E-Tron Sportback, which should arrive later this year, the competitor of the Tesla Model S, the Audi E-Tron GT, which is set to be released sometime next year, and the off-roading Audi Q4 E-Tron that's set to be released late 2020.

While these are all outstanding electric Audi models, many drivers are wondering whether or not the Audi brand will design an electric sedan that's as small as the Audi A4. The answer? Yes!

Audi's design boss, Marc Lichte, recently announced in an interview with Autocar that they are planning on releasing an Audi A4-sized electric sedan to go up against the Tesla Model 3. According to Autocar, this smaller all-electric sedan is most likely going to be released in 2023, which means we could be seeing a production version in 2022 and a concept car in the near future!
