What is Audi's Virtual Cockpit?

640 × 480

Audi's Virtual Cockpit system is a modern take on the driver information display--instead of the conventional gauge clusters, drivers are treated to a state-of-the-art, full-digital high-resolution instrument display that's fully configurable.

It's all displayed on a stunning, crisp 12.3-inch screen, and shows different views to cater to different needs.

Classic View Mode looks and feels similar to the traditional gauge cluster--your speedometer, rev counter, and other normal features show up boldly for easy access, so you can get the information you need at a glance.

Infotainment Mode includes speedometer/rev details, but puts them more into the background. Instead, your maps and navigation, phone and call information, Audi connect, and current media are displayed front and center.

The Virtual Cockpit pairs seamlessly to the MMI Infotainment system, with a smart MMI control concept that lets you use your multifunction steering wheel to switch between views.

Which Audi Cars and SUVs Offer Virtual Cockpit?

Virtual Cockpit is a standard or available option on the Audi A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, and TT--as well as related S-line models.

Virtual Cockpit has been an option on the Audi Q5 and Q7 in past years, and it's newly available on the 2019 Audi Q3 SUV.

Naturally, this state-of-the-art technology is offered on the Audi RS and the rest of Audi's supercars.
