New Audi TT RS Features 400-Horsepower Engine, Aggressive Styling

Audi has added some muscle to its small sports car.

Announced at the 2017 New York International Auto Show, Audi has added the all-new 2018 TT RS to the Audi Sport lineup. The TT RS offers enhanced performance and styling for a more dramatic driving experience

The big upgrade comes in the form of power. The TT RS features a new 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine producing a whopping 400 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. It's the most powerful TT ever produced. It's quick, too, bounding past 60 mph from a full stop in 3.6 seconds and reaching a maximum 155 mph (or 174 mph with the Dynamic plus package). This power pushes through a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox with available launch control.

The TT RS runs on Audi's quattro permanent all-wheel drive and features four drive modes for altered engine response, shift points, steering and handling. Suspension and brakes get performance upgrades as well.

On the design side, the TT RS gets a substantial facelift for a sportier look.

The 2018 Audi TT RS will launch this spring and is sure to please enthusiasts. In the meantime, you can test drive other new Audi TT models at Audi North Houston.
